Preview in the Rome Convention Center (The Cloud) – Studio Fuksas

As an architect I was certainly grateful to be one of the first post construction visitors to actually enter this building during it’s preview
opening period in December 2016, empty, untouched.

This is a special moment as you see the building as it will never be anymore. Same embedded memory I have of the Zaha Hadid MAXXI Museum.

The Spaces designed byFuksas Studio are incredibly surreal as are the technological elements, clearly visible to the eye of the visitor.

Although I enjoy very much colour in architecture as to me it is a very important component, somehow I felt to represent a monochrome vision as
in this moment, at this state, that was the perception I was having: a luminous entity within a container, a balance between
shape and light resulting magically in space.

To be able to walk inside an uthopic cloud, ethereal, light and choreographic is joy for the
mind, eyes and spirit.
