Dark Docks

One late night, during this winter I was wandering nearby Porta Maggiore. My intention was to photograph something else, I just set up my tripod and was about to shoot. It was silent, nobody was there, just me and a faint yellowish roman lamp barely lighting the trolley docks on which I was on in that moment. I could barely see where I was standing.

Still silence, then suddenly  people from under the ruined arch start coming towards me, silently without saying anything, no words no chatter, just walking and then just standing nearby.

All this happened in just a few seconds, from thin air, from the silence of the night. they all knew what they were doing, all with one intention, yet all silent.
